So we've had it. Its over...and yet it seems to be just now beginning. Something new...a step deeper. Or, is it a dive deeper? Bigger than a step, which seems so small, relatively speaking.
Our Dive retreat (called Beginnings) just happened. In fact, it happened last weekend, except I keep forgetting I have this blog so I write like it literally just happened...for effect.
First, let me summarize.
Everyone is late. Its Vineyard! Intercession. Big Wave. Dive tag. Icebreaker. Passion & Vision. Hello small group. Dive tag...nice to meet you...you're dead. Sleep. "Are you kidding me? We have to get up already?" Breakfast. The feast = community. Whats your favorite side dish? Tag...there's an assassin in the house. Lunch. "Stop it. Stop It! STOP IT!! Thats it...in the water you go" Time out. 4 Square. Tag..."I think I'm the last one" We have an agenda. God has an agenda. "Lets go with his." Blasted. New rapper on the scene. Big fire. Sleep. Eat. Commune. Home.
Are you following? You had to be there.
Seems like God has some plans for Dive and we just get to be a part of it. Pretty cool stuff. People are taking real steps closer to community, shirking off isolation and pressing in. God is pleased. God is responding. God is leading. God is good.
Lord, bring more.
