I woke up this morning and felt nothing different. My bones were not creaking, I don't have artheritis, my neck was not sore, I have no more wrinkles or gray hairs than I did yesterday. I've officially passed through the 20something barrier into the 30's and the only noticeable difference is the sound it makes when it comes out of my mouth..."I'm 30...yes, can you believe it, ... 30". Its shorter than t-w-e-n-t-y n-i-n-e and certainly rolls off the tongue easier. Other than that, no difference.
I do wonder, however, how others will now perceive me. Will they automatically expect me to be more mature than they would have if they heard I was in my 20's? Hmm. I'll have to experiment with that a bit. It's amazing what our pre-conceived notions about this or that can do to our perception of someone or something.
Enough of that. Here is an article about a song that is near and dear to my heart. It seems to have a magic about it. When I sing it or hear it sung, none of the bad memories about college arise, only the good. It inspires me...beyond just football (which is my closest association to it)...to think big, to act big, to pursue big.
Go blue
Music can be magical.
