The picture to the left is the 7 of us at a local apple orchard. Its a beautiful place, overlooking Charlottesville and the Shenandoah mountains to the west. As you can see, I have a bump on my right shoulder...that's our son, Joshua. Sometimes, this contraption is the only thing that will get him to sleep!
It was really good to see the Wugs...it made us feel a bit Evanston-sick (technically not home sick). We certainly miss all of our friends back there. But, on the flip side, we're so thankful for the friends that we are making here...we look forward to continuing to build our relationships and grow to that level of comfortability we have with the Chicago crowd!
The only disappointments for the weekend were that I had to work on Friday (they arrived Thurs night) and that they had to leave so soon. We would have loved to spend more time together.
And...somehow...we were able to avoid the 'Settlers' craze that has apparently rocked a subsection of the EVCC crowd.

Oh, thank you for the pic! I wish we could have joined you! You all look so cute and cuddly with your little ones all bundled up!
Wait... what's the "Settlers" phase?
